I've been too busy to even look at the market today. Probably for the best.

At the point it feels like you should sell, it's probably already too late.

Best to hold and stick your head in the sand for a few months again.

I've "lost" a good chunk of money these last two days, but in reality I probably never really had it because timing a spike is difficult.

Getting slaughtered. At least I picked up oracle and walmart a few weeks back on the basis of them being in on tiktotk. The deal was given Trumps approval yesterday, i expected a better day from both of them, but at least they're hanging in there. Overall I'm down 1.92% today

Brutal lately, so I've been focusing on dip buying dividends. Not risking much more than that for the last couple weeks.

LOL. I got you. It was jacked. I updated the comma placement and such.

Now it's more grammaticalistic.

I'm 25 years from drawing from it. Maxed out annual contributions, though, but I wonder if lowering that during the drop that's happening is the smart play.

The point of a 401K is to not touch it until retirement. Pretty sure most people under 60 can weather the tsunami. People over 60 have already seen a 200%+ growth of their money, so even if they lost an atrocious amount like 50%...they've still had a great return.

People who don't understand market swings can take a lesson from the stock market crash of 2008....imagine investing the day that the DOW was around $14k...in just a few months, it went down to $7K....oh no! You lost half your money!...however, those same people, if they held onto that money, are now up about 120%...this means you could have invested at the absolute worst time in the history of the stock market...and 12 years later, you'd still be up 120 damn percent!

If you and I had 50k to invest in 2008 and I put my money in the market, and you kept it in your bank account, I'd have upwards of $110k off that investment...you'd have what? $60k?

Shift your assets to bonds the month before election, then after election when market goes down switch them all back to aggressive stocks and make bank and protect yourself during the run up to election with the $ you made

I kept my mouth shut as TSLA kept hitting new all time highs, cause when momentum takes over at a certain point the fundamentals of a company cease to matter.

But that rocket is running out of steam...and it’s got a long way to fall.
